Service Description

Art as therapy is well documented. But often, getting children to sit and focus can be a challenge. We're joined by talented artist Sara Lucas for this session which engages children (adults welcome!) through a step by step creative session. Using everyday household materials for papier-mache, children will learn about caring for the environment and using art to reset. About the session: Suitable for children aged 4+ and adult supervision needed for under 12s. Materials list: - Paper - Glue stick - Child friendly scissors - Old newspapers and magazines - Few sheets of coloured paper - Few sheets A4 paper for the base About Sara: After moving to London from Portugal, Sara saw her creativity thrive under the bright lights of the capital. In her work she explores collage and found image manipulation. Her work can be found in cities around the world as well as in a number of galleries. She has exhibited at Saatchi, Well Hung (London), Galeria (Brazil) and Street Art Limited (Switzerland) amongst others. She has run workshops for the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge and Hackney Wicked Festival.
